Luis Suarez’s performance against Manchester City in Etihad Stadium last night was great. He showed one more time that he is one of the bests of the world and that he can make the difference.
It is neither a secret nor false that Luis Suarez has been questioned several times since he moves to Barcelona. He did great while he was playing with Liverpool, actually he was the best in his team and the rest of the players of Liverpool played in order to make the most of Suarez because he used to score in each game and not only one goal. In fact, Liverpool was very close to win the Premier last year, but a couple of silly mistakes in the lasts games turned out to be crucial to keep them away from the Title.
In spite of his incident during the World Cup which led him to miss the firsts matches of La Liga, since he started playing with Barça his performance on the pitch is getting better. Taking into consideration that it is not easy to play between Neymar Jr and Messi, basically because they are probably the best strikers in the world, Suarez has understood his role in Barça, which is different than the one he had in Liverpool, the Uruguayan player fits quite good with Messi on the pitch, and at the same time he is aware that he is not the best player of the team or at least that Barça is not playing for him but for Messi.
This week in Manchester he showed again that he cannot be contested whatsoever; we cannot assess Suarez according to the goals he scores but how he improves the attack of Barça and helps Messi and Neymar Jr to approach the goal of the other team. He is an undefeatable fighter especially when he wanders the area of the opponent and he is longing to score goals or to set up a goal for the other strikers, in conclusion, he never gives up.
Nevertheless, after the match of Barça against Manchester City some people claimed that the “real Suarez” appeared at last. Although it was difficult for him to score the first goal in La Liga, he did great since he started playing with Barça. Overall, the “real Suarez” never came back; actually he has always been there.
